The StuRa’s awareness concept template was developed in collaboration with student initiatives affiliated with TU Ilmenau and is intended to assist other initiatives in developing their own awareness concepts. The concept template should be reviewed regularly and adapted based on practical experience.
This concept template should not be viewed as a complete concept, as it cannot address the specific context or provide implementation guidelines for individual events. The StuRa of TU Ilmenau provides some foundational guidelines—these should then be used to implement specific concepts for individual events. These are well-founded recommendations intended to facilitate the individual work of the initiatives in researching and preparing a plan. Of course, when developing your own plan, it is possible and encouraged to adapt, supplement, or discard the contents of this document as needed. In some instances, this template is intended merely as food for thought. The goal is for all event concepts in Ilmenau to be comparable and to follow an identical set of guidelines. On the one hand, this should make it easier for initiatives to find (external) awareness team members and to support one another across organizations. Additionally, event guests can find help more easily if the support available and how to reach it are known across all events.
Our approach to awareness is constantly evolving, as the topic is always closely linked to current events, language, and social discourse. Together with all initiatives and student organizations, we strive to keep this concept up to date and continuously improve it. It is important to understand that the StuRa acts as the organizer of events only in a few, specifically designated exceptions. In developing and updating this template, we can draw on only limited practical experience. Therefore, when using this conceptual template, we encourage an active engagement with current and relevant
awareness topics as well as the specific challenges of the event in question. We also welcome any feedback after an event has concluded.
Situations often develop very quickly and vary from case to case. The StuRa cannot guarantee that all cases will be addressed by the methods or procedures described here. There is no guarantee that these will be applied appropriately at all. For this reason, appropriate training for all awareness services is required.
